On Wednesday, a delegation of students from the Royal Medical Services College of Nursing and Support Medical Professions learned a boat the efforts of the Higher Population Council in the field of population and development issues and the programs and activities that “HPC” implements to support realizing and investing in the policies for demographic dividend.
The Director of the Programs Unit in the Council, Dr. Sawsan Al-Da’ajah emphasized the importance of the role youth play in the society and the necessity of empowering them and providing them with the skills required to carry out their part in building the promising future of Jordan and achieve progress in various fields. Furthermore, Dr. Al-Da’ajah highlighted the role of health policies and reproductive health in achieving and investing in the demographic dividend and realizing the demographic transition. Dr. Al-Da’ajah further highlighted the importance of health indicators and achieving their objectives.
Dr. Al-Da’ajah over viewed the efforts of “HPC” to support of population and development issues, the priorities of the issues that “HPC” works on, the concept of demographic dividend and the policies related thereto, and the demographics of the society.
