The impact of husband’s migration on the family left behind (case study: Southern Marka)
The study is available in: the Center of Thesis Deposit/ University of Jordan.   Objective: The study aimed at identifying the demographic and social features of the study population, in addition to the impact of husband€™s migration on the role and status of the wife left behind, child raising and education, family social relationships, and family properties and investment.   Time and geographic zone: 2000, Jordan.   Source of information: A form was distributed to the study population (southern Marka) to gather data. Two samples of the form were used: one of them was given to families of immigrants, and the second was randomly distributed to other families.   Methodology: Descriptive statistics and Chi- Square test.   Key results: The study concluded that the average age of immigrant husbands at the time of conducting the study was 42.68 years, and the fertility rate of their wives stood at (6.7)children per wife. Based on the results of Chi-Square analysis, the study showed that husbands€™ migration enhanced the role and status of women.
