The Higher Population Council and Share net Jordan launched an information contest on the components and issues of reproductive and Sexual Health, which are represented by the topics (eligibility and readiness for Marriage, Family Planning, safe motherhood, HIV / AIDS), Menopause, adolescence, gender-based violence and family violence.
The council stated in a press statement that the contest targets media professionals in print, electronic and visual media, and is also available to students of media faculties at Jordanian universities, and aims to raise public awareness of the components and issues of reproductive and sexual health, by focusing on the handling of print, electronic and visual media of these issues and addressing them in more depth and impact, as well as responding to the need of the media to specialize in developmental media, in particular "population media" .
The council stated that this contest comes within the framework of the interest of the Higher Population Council and Share net Jordan in the role of active and pivotal media in supporting topics related to reproductive and sexual health, and this contest came within the activities of the communication strategy on reproductive and sexual health issues for the years 2022-2024.
The conditions of the contest included that participating media professionals from print, electronic or visual media have the right to submit one of the media materials that address one or more components and issues of reproductive and sexual health, namely: eligibility and readiness for Marriage, Family Planning, safe motherhood, HIV (AIDS), menopause, adolescence, gender-based violence and domestic violence, and in order to serve the purpose of the contest, and the participant has the right to choose one of the media arts identified by the contest, namely ( Press report, TV report).
The council invites media professionals wishing to participate in the contest to log in to the website of the Higher Population Council: www.hpc.org.jo , or the Share net Jordan website: share-net-jordan.org.jo, for details of the contest and its terms of reference, obtain documents that can be guided by the preparation of informational materials.
