The Higher Population Council/ Share-Net Jordan held today, Monday, the annual meeting of Share-Net Jordan, attended by 20 members of Share-Net in Jordan as well as representatives of concerned national institutions.
The meeting aimed to overview Share-Net Jordan’s achievements in 2020 and the studies and policy-briefs underway for this year, including a study and policy-brief on “enhancing private sector participation in SRH service delivery in Jordan”, a policy-brief on “empowering women and girls and achieving gender equality by ensuring access to SRH & RR”, a policy-brief on “the interlinks between climate change and SRH in Jordan”, a policy-brief on “the impact of girls dropping out of school on the economic participation of women and SRH”, and a policy-brief on “multi-secotral accountability framework in the field of SRH”.
The meeting also included a discussion session on the future plans for Share-Net Jordan in 2021 at the local and regional levels.
Hosted by HPC, Share-Net Jordan aims to facilitate the creation and dissemination of sexual and reproductive health knowledge and build the capacity of key stakeholders in identifying knowledge gaps. Through this partnership, Dutch organizations offer grants to fund research and studies in various topics in Jordan conducted by accredited research centers.
